My First Day With Tinkerbell

 MY FIRST DAY WITH TINKERBELL

I had wanted a dog for years and finally got one a few months ago. I was meant to get a chihuahua but the seller didnt live in edinburgh so I had to settle for a chihuaua/Jack Russell cross.
She was so tiny and although i was originally going to get her very excited, waggy tailed sister, i couldn't get over the cuteness of the rather sad looking one with the most unbelievably cute face. Her face was like a chihuahua but her body was like a jack russell and since I really wanted a pure bred Chihuahua i was a bit putt off by her Jack Russell body. My friend who went with me was 100% insistant on getting the miserable looking one and as much as i thought she was cute i really wanted the one who looked so happy and not so much like a Jack Russell, but in the end I went for the one my friend wanted since despite going there intending to get the one that looked the most happy/friendly and/or the one who looked most like a proper Chihuahua. If I'd had enough money I would have bought them both but unfortunately I had to choose one.

Tinkerbell next to my friends foot the day I got her.

She was so teeny tiny I wish she could have stayed that size forever.
Look how small she is next to my friends foot!
I even got her an extra small collar and it was absolutely huuuuuge on her, dangling right down from her neck! She hadn't had her jags when i got her though so at least it didn't really matter that her collar would have just slid over her head!

She was a bit shy at first which is hardly surprising being taken from her home by a complete stranger and when I got home I wasn't even sure what to do with her, which wasnt helped by the fact I didnt even think to get her any dog toys or even dog food since I had pet rats which have collected a huuuuuge pile of dog bowls and eat dry dog food so I figured I could just give her one of their bowwls and their food, but didn't think about the fact she needed puppy food (took her ages to eat one bit of dry food!) but thankfully she somehow found an old sock under the bed and had great fun playing with it :)
First day (in fact, first few hours) with Tinkerbell

First day (in fact, first few hours) with Tinkerbell

At first I was really worried in case she wouldnt like me but even by the end of the first day she seemed to be bonding with me quite well. I rocked her to sleep like a baby and even sang to her until she fell asleep and then put her on my bed. She was sound asleep when I put her down but then every now and then she'd shuffle over a little bit until she was right  where I usually sleep. Little sneak!

I know this isn't the most exciting post but being thats it's only about my first day with her there's not a whole lot else to say.

Future posts should be a lot more interesting and will definitely have much better pictures being that she has since acquired a nice little collection of outfits including a pink dress, pink Adidas hoodie, onesie bear suit, waterproof jacket and a little pumpkin top :)
I also intend to buy her lots if other clothes since she was freezing cold when i took her home and that was a roasting hot day and she;s never experienced winter before but even at the start of autumn when it was still pretty hot she needed to wear warm clothes or she'd shake the whole time she was outside, sometimes even with warm clothes on I had to carry her inside my jacket just to stop her shaking!

Anyway, that's nothing to do with the day I got her so I'm going to leave it there but she's a pretty mad little dog who makes friends with several strangers every time shes outside and I have plenty of adorable pictures of her so I doubt i'll ever run out of content for new posts about my little cutey!
